Firefox

I use the Firefox browser along with a few extensions, which it's convienient to list here rather than hunt down each time I use a new machine.

• Image Zoom - Enlarge images from context menu or using ctrl-,/ctrl-.
• Greasemonkey lets you use scripts to alter webpages, such as fixing poor design or adding features. I wrote an "Add prev/next accesskeys" script.
• Adblock hides most adverts, but lets you whitelist friendly sites. To be useful it needs a ruleset, such as Filterset.G.
• Ageing Tabs - Tabs change colour the longer they go unviewed.
• Flashblock prevents Flash content from loading without permission.
• Tabs Open Relative - New tabs are opened next to the current one.
• Tab History - Links opened in a new tab inherit the parent tab's history.
• Delicious adds support for the online bookmarking site del.icio.us.

I also like to put the following in the user chrome file: menu[label="Bookmarks"], menu[label="History"], menu[label="Help"] { display: none !important; } and alter the following "about:config" settings: "browser.tabs.tabMinWidth" to 8, "ui.key.contentAccess" to 4, "browser.tabs.closeButtons" to 3, "browser.display.focus_ring_width" to 4.
